La Groupie du Pianiste

Conceptual Photoshoot

Creative Director · Photographer · Editor

About the Project

This self-initiated photoshoot was inspired by the song La Groupie du Pianiste by Michel Berger. The song talks about a young woman deeply infatuated with a pianist. Despite his indifference, her love is intense and all-consuming, leading her to neglect her own life and well-being.

The shoot was driven by pure imagination, translating what I saw while listening to the song into tangible visuals.

I also asked my cousin, who is a fashion stylist, to style my character depending on each scene and mood, giving her creative freedom over the outfits.

For this project, I used my Canon camera and a ring light. I edited the pictures on Lightroom.

Concept & Purpose

I served as both creative director and photographer, building the shoot from the ground up, from concept and moodboarding to shooting and editing.

The photos are rooted in storytelling: capturing longing, beauty, and the slightly theatrical mood of a girl lost in the fantasy of music, romance, and performance. Every frame was meant to feel like a scene from a memory: soft, slightly staged, yet emotionally real.
